Merlin comes with a beautiful Featured Posts Slideshow which displays your lastest blog posts of a selected featured category. You can set your featured category and configure the slideshow on Appearance -> Customize -> Theme Options.
The Featured Posts Slider can be used within the Frontpage Magazine and Slider Page template as well as above your latest blog posts. You have to activate the Slider to be displayed on the “Magazine Frontpage” template. You can do that on the Theme Customizer on the Theme section.
